Have you ever done a Medicine Walk?
A Medicine Walk is a sacred practice that takes the form of an active meditation, where you venture out into nature – the forest, a river walk, the beach or any other natural setting. As you maintain a light meditation with a focus on healing yourself, others or the land, you engage with the living world surrounding you as you move slowly and gently through the lanscape.
With observation and awareness you notice what draws your attention. Then you simply observe whatever you notice, perhaps asking what this object means to you or what message it holds for you at this time. Often you will be drawn to a particular object such as a stone, a feather, a stick or many others, which holds special meaning and healing for you. Sometimes you simply need to observe and engage. At others you may be drawn to take the object with you.
The energy held in these onjects are powerful healing allies. They are often volunteering for a specific job, though sometimes they are offering to join your healing kit to be used in future healing.
