Chakra balance is achieved one chakra at a time, by working on one issue at a time.
Every state of negativity or ill-health corresponds to a particular energy centre, and each can be remedied and rebalanced by shifting the focus and activity of that energy centre. For example, when healing Root Chakra issues, the remedy for Fear is Action. In the 6th Chakra, the remedy for depression is creativity.
In the 4th centre, the Heart Chakra, the issue is love. This might look like grief, loneliness or difficulty forgiving yourself or others. Because the Heart Chakra is the bridge between the higher and lower chakras, between thinking and doing, the physical and material. When the heart Centre is blocked everything else is affected.
The Heart Chakra
When your heart chakra is out of balance it usually manifests as:
- Being emotionally closed off or feeling the need to push others away out of fear of rejection or being hurt
- Inability to receive abundance, support or help from others
- Self-hatred or hatred for others leading to you being overly critical of yourself and others
- Blaming others or feeling a sense of superiority
- Being out of touch with your emotional state of mind
- Losing trust in the state of humanity and the world
- Feeling anger, paranoia, grief and a sense of loss
- Feeling betrayed and unable to let go, or trapped in toxic relationships
- Feeling withdrawn or isolated from others, leading to a sense of loneliness
- Feeling out of touch with your passions or life
- Feeling overrun with fears and anxiety
- Holding on out of fear of loss or being alone
- Feeling a lack of empathy or compassion for others
- Being unable to set boundaries
You’ll know your Heart Chakra is balanced and open because you’ll feel:
- Surrounded by positive people and a part of the human community
- The Universe is constantly providing you with abundant love
- Energetic with an overflow of love to share with others
- Compassionate towards others
- Able to forgive easily
- Great awareness of your emotions and the ability to clearly distinguish which emotions to let go because they don’t serve you
- Able to cultivate a frequency of love within
- Compassion towards others
- In control, because you’re very clear and firm about your own boundaries
