Are you connected 24/7?   Or do you schedule digital-free time to reconnect with what is really important?

With access to technology constantly in our hand it’s getting more and more difficult to resist that urge to always be online.  It’s easy to be conned into thinking that being connected means being able to check in on our friends through all the Socials or whatever else fleetingly captures our attention right throughout our day.

And I’m as guilty as anyone else!

But when I turn the phone off, walk away from the computer, the TV and head outside into the garden or curl up with a book, I remember once again what it’s like to actually relax.  My shoulders drop, my forehead un-tenses, and I annoy my family until they engage in the conversation we forget to have when we’re all immersed in our own individual online relationships.

And after it all I remember what it’s like to disconnect with that unreal online world and reconnect with what IS important.

How are you spending this day?  What’s important for you today?
