The No. 1 thing that distinguishes intuitive people is that they listen to, rather than ignore, the guidance of their intuitions and gut feelings.
Everybody is connected to their intuition, but some people don’t pay attention to it or recognise it as intuition. How often do you meet a successful person who says, ‘I don’t know why I did that, it was just a hunch.’
Few things stifle intuition as easily as constant busyness, multitasking, connectivity to digital devices, stress and burnout. When we’re too busy, we’re not awake enough to our intuition to be able to recognise when it shows up. So we don’t trust it.
It’s only by first taking a break from the busyness that we can learn how to detach from our emotions and develop our awareness. Developing a keen awareness and training ourselves to notice everything both around and within us sharpens our intuition.
Once we recognise intuitive messages, or hunches, we can use our intuition to connect with our deepest wisdom to make life-choices that benefit both ourselves and others.
