Often we define happiness in terms of material things, which leads to us never feeling happy because we never have all we want.
However, true happiness cannot be found in an external source. We can’t receive it from another. Nor can we postpone it until later – “when I find true love”, “when I have children”, when I own my own house”, “when I win the lottery”.
Happiness is a state of being and thus a state of mind which depends
completely on our feelings of self-worth
The best way to feel happy is to develop that feeling of self-worth and self-love by building a solid relationship with the most important person in your life – yourself.
When you hold a strong and healthy relationship with yourself you live from your authenticity. Your thoughts and your actions will reflect the beauty of your soul and your inner truth.
What you put out into the world is reflected back to your – the outer is a reflection of the inner world. So you will find yourself surrounded with respect and integrity.
It begins with recognising, accepting and integrating our shadow aspects and receiving all the gifts, such as courage and creativity, that they hold.
